I'll be in the bay Area so anyone wanna do a hike? If so, raise your hand and I'll see if something can be organized.

Re: Thanksgiving Wkd
Tue, November 20, 2007 - 8:50 AMIf there is a group thing over the weekend that is not *too* strenuous, I'll raise my hand... Something to get the blood flowing after all the turkey and pumpkin pie would be good... -

Thu, November 22, 2007 - 10:29 PMHey Le, no intent of being a usurper here, but since it's been quiet and you had a good idea, I'll do some pushing forward; if you have actually already worked something out, then I'll defer to you.
In the meantime, how is Sunday for anyone interested? Redwoods also sound good to moi; if there is still interest I'll poke around on the maps to try to find something that will look interesting. More maƱana. -

Fri, November 23, 2007 - 2:49 PMThe San Francisco-based Creative Hiking League is going to Tennessee Valley a little after it gets dark tonight (its Friday). We will hike to the beach and hopefully over to newly opened Pirate's Cove.
You are invited to join this few mile impromptu hike. Email me for more details. We are looking for new hiking buddies. Men and women, crazies and professionals alike.

Re: Thanksgiving Wkd
Fri, November 23, 2007 - 2:51 PMOK, looked at some of the redwoody places. Ones not overrun with bikes, and, selfishly, where I haven't been before. :) Also didn't want to go too far south, since some of you come more from the north. So kept it mid-peninsula.
Sam McDonald park looks interesting; only downside is the $5 per vehicle charge (we can do some carpooling - I could pick up Caltrain riders in Redwood City - to minimize).
This isn't a killer hike. A number of options, but in the 5-6-mile range.

11AM Sunday at the Ranger Station. Bring lunch and water.
Takers? Open to other times/ideas, but wanted to start with a firm proposal.
Post here or PM me if you're interested. Note: if I don't hear from anyone, no guarantees I'll follow this plan, so don't silently go and expect it to happen; speak up by at latest 9AM Sunday. If I do hear from even just one other person, we're on.

Sat, November 24, 2007 - 11:37 AMOh Brian I am a lazy fuck so be my guest and plan whatever you want. I can't guarantee that I will be there though. I have a date in Modesto tonight and if I end up spending the night there, I probably won't make it back to hike the next morning. i'm hoping that's what will happen hehehehe, but if not it would be great to hike with all of you guys Sunday, in which case I can drive and pick people up between Oakland and the trail destination. I'm gonna msg you for your number now.
