Give a shout out on this tribe when you want to go; there are people from down here, although we're a quiet lot it seems... There's lots of good hikes in the hills east and west.

I just got new hiking boots!
Has anyone done any of the hikes with folks on the BayAreaHiking yahoo group? I'm often tempted but then the leaders often sound a little...intense... What's the scoop? Which of those folks are good-natured peeps who wish to share the joy...?
